I am looking to trade my 1984 Maserati Biturbo for a Porsche 928. Here are some details on my Maserati:
- 66K original miles
- 6 cylinder twin turbo engine
- 5 speed manual transmission
- Clean title (not salvage)
- Clean Experian Autocheck report included (like Carfax)
- Current registration tags
- Starter recently replaced
- Brand new ignition module recently installed
- Leather, suede and burlwood interior in good condition
- Power lock, power windows, rear defog back glass, factory dual rear window sunshade/sunscreens, suede headliner
- Air conditioning (works)
- Original Maserati AM/FM cassette stereo with factory Zendar speakers
- Factory alloy wheels
- Body has a few minor dents in the left front fender and rear quarter and will need some minor body work, but otherwise the body is pretty straight.
- NO rust
- Factory tool kit and jack included
- Black exterior with brown/beige interior
- Overall, it needs some TLC.
Looking to trade for any year of Porsche 928, 928S or 928S4. Looking for something in similar condition to my Maserati. Would prefer something that's running and driving, but please let me know what you have. I would be willing to talk about a trade up or down and would be willing to maybe add cash for the right deal.
Thanks and have a great day!

No, not a biturbo, those are chrylser powered piles, but I'd consider trading a 928 for one of those 80's Mercedes V8 sports cars, I think they are called "SL" cars?.
And, I'd trade one for this blue car. My dad thinks he'd have to have cash along with the trade. I however think the opposite. So he and I will not reach an agreement on this one.

No thanks....
My dad had a 300D, that was a tank and could easily last forever if maintained.

Boy those were fun cars when new though. Father had one that was always in his shop and got to drive it a bunch. Fun fun car.
But no, wouldn't trade for it.

V6 engine in Biturbo is not connected to Chrysler in any way. Its Maserati's own design done before Chrysler had anything to do with them. Chrysler TC by Maserati is totally different thing and even V6 used in it is Mitsubishi based and not Chrysler's own design.

I think its a horrible looking car and dates from the era of quite crappy Maseratis (shoddy low $ engineering).
If you compare this to its predecessors - the Bora/Merak - its clear Maserati lost their way big-time.
Comparing this to a 928 - its hard to believe someboy who likes this car would appreciate a 928 and V-V.
So for me the anwer is NO NO NO & Heck NO !!! What a piece of S%$# ! I wouldn't take it if were free.

Cool! Just what you need- when the water pump fails these beauties crash the valves too...
The Bi Turbos were cheaply made, lots of what looks to be leather is vinyl. It was an attempt
by De Tomaso when he ran Maserati to mass produce a lower cost car.
On the other hand, the Quattroporte was basically
a cost no object car. I used one for a daily driver
for 2 years & it was great (except for the gas
milage). Wonderful road car- had over 150k on
it when sold. Engine was designed & built like a tank. Lower timing chains were triple row & uppers double row = no failures etc.
