Default Fix for Rear Seat Rattles?

Does anyone have any advice on how to silence rattles from the rear seat backs? It seems the rattling noises come from the release lever on the seat back and/or the hinges of the seat backs. Mine make some noise whether they are up or down.

I searched this topic and found a couple of threads about it, but no real solutions. I have the seat backs out of the car, so I want to take advantage of the opportunity to fix them.

I think Nicole had posted a fix a few years ago.

It definitely is annoying.

Nicole posted about it, but no one had a fix in the thread.

Jam a piece of foam down behind the seat back so that you have to force the seat into the upright position. This may be enough to take up the slack in there.

The rattle in my rear seats sems to be the rod that connects the slider **** high on the side to the latch mehanism down by the hinge. It only rattles when the seats are folded down. Next time I have those seat backs out, they'll get a few foam blocks inside to dampen the vibrations.

I get rattles whether they are up or down. I think the level rattles even when the seats are up. Bits of foam might do the trick nicely.

LOL! Looks more like you just replaced your rattle!

Nice job on the woofer spacer rings! How did you make them? I just made a set out of particle board/MDF and covered in vinyl, and they look quite a bit like those.

If your refering to the rings in the sidewall panels they are stock. The 10" doesn't have a ring, the woofer is bolted directly to the backing borad with the carpet going around the edges. The grill is then bolted to the backer board. The nuts are accessed by removing the storage compartment.
