Default Splicing in a pig tail connection

Is it ok to add a connector to the ISV (under the throttle body to make it easier to re-connect the wire? It is a pain to get that thing reconnected on re-installation of the intake. Thanks, Doug (88 auto.)

Thanks Imre, I saw some weather proof connections on the net before ... I'll have to look for that.

I soldered mine and wrapped it up in shrink tube and electrical tape. I even experimented with butt-splices with success but found more comfort in a solder.

Would suggest joint are soldered and rubber weld/amalgamating rubber tape which forms a full rubber seal. Insulating tape will gradually fail with the heat in this area.
