I think its just about right, but you wouldnt have to do the work.

nice S4 with nice or decent red paint, in OK working order? $7-$10k and then the bolt ons to make it a track or race car? $8k doing the labor mostly yourself.
(i.e. wheels, tires, seat, belts, fire, suspension , headers, exhaust, swaybar, cage or roll bar, DONE.)

I asked Robert (current owner) to have Jim email me so as soon as I hear from him I will forward Wes and Rich's email to him!

I have often wondered where Jim ended-up, and how he is doing these days. Please send him my regards, if you get in touch with him!

Kibort he PAID for Marc T. to build it ! probably bought the parts from DEVEK too $8,000 would probably not have covered the intitial deposit ! Nothing really wrong with that just how it was.

Jim,

Actually the "guy" who owned this 928 did much, if not all of the work himself.

Cheers,
Marc

Yeah,

Guy Grantham was here in Texas for a while when he owned it. I rode in that car after it came to the 3rd coast event back in 2004. Really Clean car at the time, very quick for an S4, rode really good as well!
(Still looks good in the updated pics)

Guy had the car dyno'd and it was 330hp at the rear wheels or something like that. He had the dyno sheet at the 3rd coast event and I remember everyone thinking DAMN, never seen #'s like that out of an S4!! Cool car for sure!

When he upated the brakes, I bought the original S4 brakes off his car and put them on my 79.
