Just change the realy it is not expensive and not a very difficult job. The original relay WILL FAIL one day, guaranteed.

areplaced a bad mini hvac relay, checked the freeze switch and got 12 volts from one of the relays then it droped to .42 Volts... I check the HVAC controller and noticed that one of the traces has completely burnt out causeing a break on the board. I will upload a picture later tonight. It looks like im going to need a replacment controller. Has anyone else had a similar problem. Non of the fuses burnt out so im not sure how the circuit burned out.

I had the problem where the HVAC controller relay fried when the A/C compressor clutch seized. After replacing that relay using the 'Radio Shack' option, I discovered that one of the traces on the circuit board had also fried.
Using an ohmeter, it was simple to find the broken trace and bypass it by soldering a piece of wire across the break.
Lastly, to reduce stress on the system, I installed a remote power relay close to the AC compressor. Now, the A/C controller activates the remote power relay which is sized to handle the current used in the A/C compressor clutch.
The HVAC controller continues to function well. And I saved quite a few $$$ with the repair.
Some of this was documented in the thread 'GTS A/C Odyssey'. Feel free to PM me if you want additional info on the remote relay.
