928 Clutch
Replacing a clutch on a 928 is way easier than any other car I've worked on as you don't have to remove a motor or gearbox to get to it.
I could write a long post and describe the whole process, but your best first step is to get hold of the workshop manual section which describes the procedure. Do you have a WSM on CD or that you've downloaded? If not get a copy .. read that .. and then get back on here with any questions.
The first time I took my clutch out I had the clutch pack nearly drop on my head (literally) in less than an hour.

Thanks for the positive advice, what clutch kit would you guys recommend? I would like to eventually turbocharge the car with the kit I bought a few years ago, I'm thinking maybe spec if they offer a clutch for the 928.
Here's a link with good pics of clutch assembly as part of a larger job ..... http://members.rennlist.com/sharkski...R30-Clutch.htm
.... and as Landseer noted, do a search and there's lots more.

Lots of people here use the standard twin plate with way more RWHP than standard with no problems. I guess it depends on what HP improvement you're expecting. Correctly assembled and adjusted the standard clutch is pretty good.
This thread does a pretty good job of visually showing the parts. There are better removal instructions in the WSM and other places Dave noted.

+1 to all of the above. I would add that to R&R the stock clutch you need to remove the exhaust system from the cats back. Not a huge job but a bit of a PITA if it hasn't been off in a while.
If you replace your stock cats with a set of crossovers and some high flow cats, not only will you add some serious HP, but it will make working on the car (especially the clutch job) much easier.

You can put down close to 300hp at the wheels with some relatively inexpensive and DIY mods.. X-pipe, used S4 fuel pressure regulator, Porken chips, and

At the extreme end, people are pushing more than 500rwhp out of NA 32V engines.. but you're talking much $$$$ for stroker crank, custom rods, pistons, coatings, oil control, and much much more
