'85 Auto Transmission connectors
Finally have all the bits I need to get the transmission back together, but I'm having trouble with the single lead connector that comes off the transmission wiring harness. Where does this go? It splits off from the gear selector switch and ends in a deep black rubber connector with one thick wire. The connector that reaches around the back of the diff is still there, so it's not that one.
Any ideas for help quick? I'd like to get the rear subframe back in today, but not sure if that'll prevent me getting that connector back in!

I think that part goes up in to the spare tire well.

Hmm, you might be right, but it doesn't seem long enough - maybe once the transmission's raised into place.
Also, the solid tube for the kickdown cable, does it run above the torque tube in the tunnel, or below it? I have it run above, but it runs really high and the mounting ear doesn't make sense that way.

Got it, the connector installs on the opposite side, pushed in to a sensor from the back, right around the area where the overflow tank is.
Also, the kickdown cable tubing had slipped down in the front, and was rigid enough to keep me from being able to rotate the ear into place. Once I crawled under the front and pushed it back up, then it fit right where it was supposed to go with just a little persuasion.
Thanks for your help, the other end of that cable definitely goes into the spare tire well.
