Key to maintaining trademarks is that you have to chase-down any and all infringement, no matter how minor.

It's not a Car It's a Cult!!

I like this one too, but I'd be worried about cult people following me around trying to get me to join their cult.
Cult people can be really competetive!

And satire is protected speech. "928. There is no substitute" is definitely a riff on the real trademark, IMHO

Then consider this:

"The following trademarks including the distinctive shapes of all Porsche models and model numbers are the exclusive property of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG and may not be used without prior written authorisation"

By your thought process we clearly should not risk using "928" anywhere either...

However its pretty clear to me that Porsche doesn't give two hoots about the 928 trademark usage anymore - except perhaps if it represented lost revenue (?), liability, (e.g. esp. fake puported Porsche products or equiv.) competition or negative press.

I'm sure they still do care much more about usage of their corporate tagline..
and I'm sure they trawl the web looking for infringements of their trademarks.

But I'd still consider this to be only an ironic allusion to the actual trademarked tagline...

Alan
