$7800 only? This sounds unreal!

Has anyone seen this car? Does it have a salvage title or other issues that explain such a low price?

Amazing...

defiantly fishy. This is possibly one of those 'ship the car' scams or something?
I say that because these usually have a LOW price to get lots of email and the license plates never match. That isn't an Arizona plate that I know of.
could be legit, hellofa deal if it is.

That car looks suspiciously like the same car as I saw on CL last month for $6000, and if it is, then yes, it's a salvage title. That 603 number looks like a guy who sold some other 928s (it's a New Hamsphire area code) not located near him...hmmm

Also look at the GTS rear cover. It's always been garage kept except for the time the rear end was smashed! Looks like either a scam or a salvage. If a salvage, and work done properly, then it could be a good deal. I don't like it when area codes don't match place of sale however.

Listing in several craiglists could be just to increase coverage.

Probably because it's a scam. Is saw the same $12k tractor listed all over the country for $3k - same pictures. When contacted, the seller said it's already at the broker's (who?? wha??) but that I could buy it sight-unseen and return it if I was unhappy.

The car is most likely in AZ. At least it was when the photos were taken. The landscaping and fence block wall in the picture suggest this. The area code is from New Hampshire and the plate does not look to be an AZ plate. Curious... I called and left a message asking about the salvage title. If he calls back, I'll pass the info along. Surprise is an odd choice for a fake location but CL scammers are getting better at their trade.

When I see something on CL I think is a scam I use Jaxed.com to search all CL listings in the country. If its fake, I'll see the ad pop up multiple times in multiple locations. Searching 928 made in he 1990s turned up few cars, none like the red one supposedly in Surprise. See search results...

I still think something is wrong though.

Doesn't it just sound wrong to name a town "Surprise"...

I remember seeing the same pictures on auto trader several months ago. At that time the owner was a military guy getting ready to go over seas. Surprise is near an Air Force Base. Bad people hurt 928's
