That color is Zyclamot correct? I remember we talked about it being very very similar to Arena Red. It is a gorgeous color as well. I'd like to see it in person next to the arena when I get it finished.

Last night finished re-assembling the front hubs, and brakes. Calipers were cleaned and re-sealed and painted, rotors were acid washed scrubbed clean, new wheel bearings and seals installed.

Scrubbed and cleaned the radiator, straightened all the cooling fins, resprayed in flat black. Re-installed.

Lots of miscellaneous wiring hooked up, ground points were given special attention.

Today I will finish re-installing rear brakes, cv axles, and torquing rear suspension pieces.

Josh I would suggest to remove the KnN filter and use a factory filter,
i know i may have put it in the parts box i gave you,
BUT there is no telling what way the filter was used and what side you have facing the engine intake it would suck to have a bunch of dirt get sucked into the engine.
Nice work glad things are moving along,

now for a right front fender any luck yet?

I like.
Makes me wonder why it's not a section on this forum dedicated to just complete restofications like yours.
Keep up the good work. I really enjoy following this project.

Default hey

Stan, for the K&N yes... a replacement is in order. I just set it in the airbox to keep contaminants out of the intake! There is still a rag over the flapper valve under the filter, and a note to remove the rag and filter taped over the key!

Trying to get her mechanically tidied up. I hope to try and start her this weekend. Probly friday or saturday...

As for the fender no luck... nothing local...

Hoyo, Thanks! It's been more than a labor of love... It's a Porsche... she's not the fastest or most desireable model but it doesn't really matter much!!!

After I finish the 928, then my truck, maybe I'll track down an S or an S4 in better shape and climb the performance ladder a bit!

Local dealer down here carries the oil filter for $10-20 and gives me a excuse to look at all the new goodies on the showroom floor.

Thumbs up update

the dealer up here I'm not sure of... I try not to go to the dealer as they're snobbish and irritate me... I needed the tensioner boot anyway so I ordered both at the same time!

As for the update. I picked up my waterbridge, t-stat elbow and fan mount today. They look sharp, and they did a much better job at plugging up the ports and thread holes than my last pc guy...

So I'm off to repair another broke down vehicle and when I get home installing my new goodies!

I will have her running this weekend!! I've got the tranny filled up with fluid and soon the motor!

Back to the wrenches I go!

Wow... that engine bay is no joke. As someone who suffers from OCD when it comes to working on dirty cars I must say that I approve.

Default Update

Entire car is now coated in epoxy... just in time for the first warnings of snow!

Sick and tired of watching her hatch and quarters flash rust!!!

Two nice smooth coats of epoxy on the entire car now... well except the passenger front fender which has stress cracked while trying to work the dent out of the top so I'll be looking for a nice damage free passenger fender on the cheap!!!

Default Got it!

I filled her with fluids wednesday, and gave her some gas. Took some time to get the fuel lines primed. I need to order a new fuel pump, relay, and filter.

She spat up all the crap out of her lungs, and now runs very very well. A very noticeable improvement over the day I pushed it home!

The delco alternator is charging my battery at 14.5, the gauge is reading 12 but my multimeter tells me the real story anyway!

I've almost got the first layer of epoxy block sanded. Need to give it another bath and take some more pictures.

I was amazed at the amount of fluids it sucked down, not to mention when it's at operating temperature how frigging hot the oil pan is. Burned the **** out of my arm farting around with the alternator....

Thanks for everyone's help!!
