Magnum P.I. and Miami Vice, my two favorite shows from the 80's. Never missed either one. Hey get Tom to come out on the drive and get his picture with my car, now THAT would be awesome!
Oh and the Miami Vice Daytona was a Corvette with a McBurnie body kit and dubbed sound. Ferrari objected and then provided a couple red Testarossas for the show. The producers didn't think the red would show up as well on TV and painted them white. They also made a couple stunt cars to go along with the two TRs. One of the real ones is in a museum in Florida, no idea where the other ended up.
And on Magnum, they used a GTS since Tom didn't fit in the car very well. They dropped the floor an inch or two and never ever put the top on. Besides it was better for TV that way. There are several "Magnum" cars that hit the market every once in a while and the general word is they haven't been taken care of very well, pretty bad examples of the model. Definitely a celebrity car not worth driving.
LOVE the 80's! Throw in Risky Business and Scarface and my garage is complete.

Nice score, Mark! RE: Pic #4, I think your son has the core of his 'What I did this Summer" essay in the bag, and it's only early July.....

I'll say he does. I have to say this particular Hooters was exceptional. They grow 'em right in that part of Alabama. Daniel spent the entire lunch just staring around and smiling.
