Default Atlanta Area Peeps, Mountain drive II

Any body want to do a version II of our last mountain drive?

I am going to try and get some other cars to come, BMW's Corvettes, Audi's, what ever.

How does Sunday july 11 sound?

Count me in.
Let's pin down the time and I'll get the word out to the local 928 OC members ASAP.

Looks like I will be able to make that one. Keep me posted on a time. Should be in our new home in Woodstock this weekend!

Looking forward to seeing everyone. It's will be cool to see some guy's getting together and going for a cruise! Haven't been able to do that here in FLA. Plus all the roads suck here anyway!

No A/C, so the earlier the better and preferably that we can start somewhere close to Altlanta or west of Atlanta so it will be quicker drive back to AL.

Get your AC fixed, no way would I be taking a fun drive with out AC, that would take the fun out of the drive.

We're expecting Elianna (newborn) around August 28th. If the car does not sell by then I will take if off the market and let you fix the A/C

I have been looking for good driving roads to the NW of Atlanta with little luck.
If any body knows any good roads chime in.

Would the second Sunday in July work better for some?
The first Sunday is the Forth, so that is out.

Later would probably work better for me. I'll be in the middle of helping a friend install a torque tube next weekend.

NW of Atlanta the best are over Fort Mountain (SR52)... amazing drive.
From there east you have GA60 from Morganton to Suches... and I'm sure you know about Blood circle (GA60, GA180 and US129/75/19).
East of there (what is essentially NW GA) you have Richard Russell Scenic Hwy, 75, War Woman Road, and GA197... I've spent many weeks over the years playing in these areas... some of the best roads in the country.

I'll try to make this! I missed some of the drives at SITM.
