Personally, I think my '87 Black-on-Black auto would make a great fit for you. Just fininshed an entire top-end refresh and front end service (okay... almost done... still need to torque the crank bolt.) Will be installing the PKlamp tonight and maybe the new passenger door lock motor if it's not too hot (it's supposed to be 97 here today so it might get pushed off until it cools off.)

I actually have been looking at your car. I like it a lot!
It's 100 degrees here in the Northeast. Very hot. You haven't done a timing belt have you? How hard is that to do?

I think I want a red or black one. I really like a tan interior. I like the 5 speed but I'm ok with an automatic.
Definately an S4. I love the later look.
I'm planning on spending $10,000 to $15,000 for the right one.
I'm in no hurry, I just don't want to make a mistake with someone elses headache.

1987 S4 Black exterior/burgundy interior/alittle under 69,000 miles now.
Bought in 1994 from local guy who bought it new.
