I have never seen a 928 in the wild, EVER, until this past weekend. I would not have spotted it, were it not for my 12 year old son who pointed it out to me. It was at a red light, at a 4 way intersection, and I was crossing through the intersection directly in front of him, in my 928 S4. It was an O.B., brownish in color with stock manholes. He never even blinked at me. I gave a fairly excited wave at him, since it was my first 928 in the wild, especially while I was driving mine. He didn't respond, and simply looked away.

Must be one of those 928 "purists" that only likes O.B. Either way, I was damned excited to see one. And, I must say, the older cars are still sexier than ever.

Basically, Northeast, Ohio has very few 928's and I am probably the only daily driver. I get to listen to every middle aged guy's childhood fantasies about wanting a 928 when they were a kid, while I am fueling up or parking it in a parking lot. It's a tough cross to bear, driving these cars. LOL.

928 sightings are rare for sure, but they come in spurts. I'll go 12 months w/o seeing one, and then I'll see four in a week, or two in the span of 3 hours. Always a treat when I catch a glimpse of one.

I have seen three. One today!!! (a nice looking S4)
Another a few months ago near my work (a GT, I think: black as well) seen this one twice.
And before any of the above, I saw an older per-87 (black again) and that is the one that got my 928 juices flowing!
All of the above I have seen in Dade and Broward county FL.
But ultimitley a rare beast, a very rare beast indeed!
