How was driving a 928 at the Glen?? I've been told repeatedly that it's a great track for a shark.
I plan to take mine to the Glen next year after I renovate my suspension. I have an occasional creak from my front left corner that I do not want to DE on a high-speed track like that!
What's with the choice letters on your headlights??

The glen was made for cars like the 928. Nice long straights and a bit of up hill. Great track. We do have a DE coming up in October otherwise next May. Other than me, Gary Knox, the Gladle's and another guy with a 1979 Beast not too many 928's that I've seen come up here. We could always use more....

As soon as I have 100% confidence in my shark's ability to take a high-speed flogging, I'll be there!
I've just done DE at Lime Rock, which is not a great track for a 928. Fun, of course, but it's a momentum track, not a high-speed track - other than the last turn & the front straight!

Curt, looks like a blast and sounds like a great track. I love running my GT locally here at Phoenix International Raceway on the roadcourse. It really helps get the need for speed out of my system. Don't need to drive so fast on the street after a run at the track!
Just noticed you signature line too, may not have you beat for the tallest (largest) dog on rennlist, but my Newfoundland "son" Beau is a legit 155 lbs. at about 29.5" at the shoulder. So he's a little shorter, but he is heavier (larger?)
Love the Big Dogs!!!

Curt,
Missed seeing you last week at the Niagara event. WOW - it was great. Up to 7 hours of track driving a day for two days at the Glen (I only got in between 3.5 and 4 hours per day - both the car and I needed some breaks!).
Very well run, the "hot cars" and us "slow cars/old or slow drivers" played well together. A few mechanical problems that caused black flags, but only one off track damage incident - a Mini-Cooper in the last run of the second day, and that was minor.
I've participated in a similar event run by Hudson Valley and Hudson Champlain regions, but I thought this one went smoother, and better cooperation between the two run groups. GREAT JOB Niagara Region folks.

Thanks Gary, sorry I missed you too. 3 little ones and work kept me home. I'll be there in October though.
Glad to here it went well. Seems that we may try for another advanced only one soon enough.
