As Hacker stated it is for the TPS. the failed connector is one end of an short ~8" lond extension harness that goes between the TPS sensor mounted on the throttle body and then main engine harness. My 85 did the exact same thing. I just ordered one from Roger at 928sRus.
So that would be what the WSM calls the “throttle valve switch”?
If so, I’m confused because these wires are black, yellow and blue whereas the WSM shows them as brown, white and white/red. What gives?

The wire colors you are refering to are the ones in the main wiring harness. tese would be the colors you would see if you stripped back the insulation on the intact plug shown in your picture. if you notice in the WSM the lable Ks 115 corresponds with the short harness section that has the failed connector. Of course these colors dont match either at least on the 85 diagram they are labled ws (white), sw (black) and ge (yellow). so they got 2 out of 3.
