Humm....I voted Gray at first but the green looks amazing.

I wonder what Chip Foose would do with a 928.

We are looking forward to see how she turns out.

That green is really cool. The new Ford Focus RS will be available in a similar color, but my fear is that it won't age well.

The orange, however, I think will be bad *** and age more gacefully. The stripes should (obviously) be done in vinyl. This will give you lots of option as to best size, placement, accents, etc.

Either way, you're going to have a very cool car at the end.

What about that blue used on "Blue Max"? If sticking to the colors listed I'd go with the green but wonder if you will grow tired of it one day. Also it will draw Police attention like an all you can eat doughnut buffet.

Can any of the Photo shop masters whip up a signal green one? I like the color just not sure it would look good on a 928 that is a lot of green hood not broken up by and lines

I love the orange and with the stripe too! I definitely agree with Nicole about avoiding the black roof, but disagree with her on the stripe issue - the 928 did come with a sort of factory striping on the lower side - it was special striping for the Club Sport edition, and the WSM shows both the decal and where to locate it on the side of the car.

If I get this, you are trying to have some fun with this car, light-hearted, good-times, like a 60's dune buggy, not some stuffy concourse deal with old guys in smoking jackets.

Then go all the way.

Pearl Orange or day glo green.

Then try to devise a 60's muscle car decal for it - I suggest the Porsche emblem on the hood and covering the fenders all in black with hockey stick decals running down the sides with 928 at the back quarters.

mercedes pearl orange and day glo green

Edit: lower it, wide tires on black rims, tint the windows, and a jacquemond tip down wing on back. Then slap on a supercharger to match the go with the show. Almost forgot aero mirrors in black!

Dean,
Clearly, I'm partial to the Anthracite Gray. Chewy was painted this at the factory as a custom "paint to sample". Mercedes color #172
Color is getting a little tired, but appears to have a touch of dark green in certain light.

I like the cream white too but I'm partial to Kristallgrünmetallic - Crystal green metallic.
That being said I voted for signal green with the low black stripe because I think it looks more vintage even if it's not factory.

Here is what I was getting at - the logo

in black on the hood instead of the all black then the same type of stripe at the height of the back lights connecting the back lights to the front hood side of the emblem.

black wing, black aero mirrors

Dean,
I like the cream white best. Also agree with Nicole about the stripes/contrasting roof.

I am sure what ever the final choice, it will look spectacular.
Good Luck.

Guys, the time for suggesting colors passed many months ago... pick from the 4 and move along, or don't pick at all...
