Alternator Bracket Bolt Torque '81
Hello All,
I'm looking for the torque value for the 2 bolts that hold the bracket to the engine block on an 81 US model. I'm certain that I don't want to over torque these bolts. On my WSM cd's I'm finding a value for 85+ listed as 45NM or 33ftlbs. Can anyone confirm this or give me the proper torque?
Thanks!
Aaron

Psst...if you value your engine, don't (ever) listen to Andrew!
The early rear bracket is held by two 8mm bolts = 15 ftlbs!
33 must be for the big bolt for the later alt/PS assembly housing.
