Default Alternator Bracket Bolt Torque '81

Hello All,
I'm looking for the torque value for the 2 bolts that hold the bracket to the engine block on an 81 US model. I'm certain that I don't want to over torque these bolts. On my WSM cd's I'm finding a value for 85+ listed as 45NM or 33ftlbs. Can anyone confirm this or give me the proper torque?

Thanks!
Aaron

Do yourself a favor and download the Tech Spec book for your car from the link in my signature. I believe 33 Ftlbs sounds right.

Psst...if you value your engine, don't (ever) listen to Andrew!

The early rear bracket is held by two 8mm bolts = 15 ftlbs!

33 must be for the big bolt for the later alt/PS assembly housing.

On the 87+ cars they are be 10mm. If they are 8mm as PK suggests, then he is correct.
