Default Need Help in Albuquerque

Got a customer who is passing through, should be there for a few days, that just bought am 86.5 out of Seattle that is having some timing belt light issues.

Is there anyone in the area who can assist in checking this out, or knows of a good shop that knows these cars and can take a look? He just wants to get it to Texas so he can pick up his '89 and drop off this 86.5.

With a Devek built motor? If so, then yes. It's 928 number three for a buddy of mine. He's got a '90 I did a lot of work on last year, bought this '89 5 speed a month or so ago, and calls today saying he bought another one for a track car. but is having some TB light issues.

I just need someone to take a look, I think we got it covered over the phone, but experienced eyes would be worth a lot.

I think he got a good car. Carl (the PO) had Devek do a total rebuild and spent quite a bit of coin on it. It was truly unique in that it had black leather interior with no sunroof. Can't remember if it had LSD or not, but if I were to get a 86.5..that would have been it.

Post up some pics when it makes it to Texas...and hope he gets the t-belt sorted..

Ducman is in ABQ and per his many technical posts here I bet he could help assess the TB light issue. Send him a PM and email. He might not be online.
