Default 1980 5-speed at Hermosa Beach dealer 75K RUN AWAY!!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...fCarsQ5fTrucks

Went to look at this car yesterday morning for a little Fathers Day get away. Talked to the guy at lot before heading over. He said "Extremely Nice"... "A whole lot of car for the money" "With the low miles, it is a good collector"...they are asking 5800 at the lot, but have it as no reserve auction on fleabay.

ITS A TOTAL PIECE OF TRASH. Paint and body are trashed. Many small dents. Re-spray coming away on the cracked nose. Window trim is missmatched with new and old pieces. Lots of rust around the glass. Battery was mostly dead and the engine wouldn't crank. Windows worked, but sunroof was non-op. Front seats look like someone re-upholstered them at home with little experience... Very baggy. Shifter is abnormaly sloppy. They said the car has been fully serviced and is ready to go... HA! The engine bay looks like nothing except for the main large coolant hoses have been replaced. All original rotted hoses and lines. Original corroded FPR. Looks like they dumped a container of Armor All on the engine and called it good.

Looked at a purple 968 on the lot also.... If it werent for the color (Amethyst) I might be attracted, as the interior and engine looked to be in great shape with lots of current maintainence records, but after seeing the shananigans with the 928, I would steer clear of Caseyscars.com 840 PCH, Hermosa beach....

I didn't see the 928 in person to critique it versus the ad, but the guy will sell it for highest bid on ebay. He is a wholesaler that gets a lot of higher end European stuff and doesn't keep it on the lot long. I got my 951 from him when he was at a lot in Long Beach on Figeroa 2 years ago - same ebay id. He had a price of $9999 on my 951 on the lot and i won the auction at $4300 and drove triple digit speed back to Vegas. Not defending what he's pushing on the 928, just saying I had a great experience with the guy.

Ebay ad looks like it was rolled in a lot of glitter.

Sounds like whoever wins will get a BIG surprise when they see it.

Smog history has just one inspection in Calif.
