I’m not saying how he conducted himself online was good, but I did have more good transactions with this guy than bad. When ever I wasn’t satisfied with a part, he would just send another one. I never had to return anything to him.

If you want to get your parts for half price compared to what others are selling theirs for, I guess you put up with the quirks. Anyhow, my guess is we haven’t seen the last of him yet.

I've had two transactions with him. Both went very well.

He could've been an continued asset to the community if he made a decision to listen and improve. Evolve or die.

This was his biggest undoing. He made it clear to me on the phone one time that he would run his show the way he wanted, and he wasn't willing to take advice from anyone.

These statements were exactly why I did not continue to do business with him. I have bought parts from all of the major vendors, and I can say that I have had only good transactions from them, not more good than bad. I also count my time as at least as valuable as my money. If I have to wait more than a week to receive an unusable part, then another week+ to get a replacement, I would have rather paid twice Mason's price.

I agree with Randy. Yes he made mistakes from the start but he tried to do something for 928's...gotta respect that (forgetting the other).

Randy very much had his tongue in his cheek. Unfortunately intonation doesn't come across well when typing.

AO: Isn't there a picture of Jeannie with her tongue ON your cheek at SITM? Wasn't there some intonation (big word, Andrew) with that photo?

Yes Tim, I have hours of chemical stripping and media blasting into the reject parts. Both are time and money.. The parts took 2 weeks to arrive after my initial order. After a week I called to ask where there were and if he had any tracking info. To my suprise, they were boxed and sitting under his desk still...... He did not want to pay UPS to pick them up and apparently didn't want to drive anywhere to drop them off.. ? So I was left waiting until he felt it was the appropriate time to drop them off. All this being said, I still am mid-transaction with Mason. He has my reject parts and my money. I am hoping to get a refund or another shipment of parts. I worry I will not get either. He is not easy to get in touch with or get clear information.

You are his target audience, alright.

There is no reason to receive bad parts - ever.

And it sounds like you endured it a few times?

I am selling the business 928ww. Stats are viable, customer base is 1500+ transacted. Any warranty claims outstanding are being processed and will be settled (as always) before the sale is complete. The reason for sale is personal, not pertaining to viability.

Thank you to all who helped turn our science experiment into a viable business. We appreciated all kind words throughout, and apologize for ruffling of any feathers along the way.... it was never personal. I would also add that I started this business based largely on advice from a highly respected member of your community, and credit him for his genius, ethic, and talent.... Respectfully, i will be missing you friend.... and the rest of you as well.

Along to the next mission then...

Are you going to install an 928 engine in a 930?

It's not a bad idea considering the cost of maintenance on this thing- that's a paradox i guess, 928 maint. isn't cheap either.
