Gio also has a GT with a blower for sale at $16,500.

Nice work. Like the wheels and color.

Would love to see more before and after (especially the interior)

Rarity doesn't have that much to do with the value and collectability of a car - widespread desire to own that car has everything to do with it. Just because something is rare doesn't mean it's valuable if no one wants to buy it.

Smitty - you just showed up her a couple of months ago and you are now trying to tell these guys and girls who have been in 928's for years and have in many cases owned several of them - and who see them for sale and constantly comment about the pricing of them here on this board - that you know more about the value of these car better than them. You would do well to think about that for a while, bro...

Thanks guys for the props.

Just an update on my car, I'll be doing the timing belt with a PK tensioner. I'll also be adding a PK clamp to stop the flex-plate migration. Still need to fix the passenger door lock.

With all these updates, I'm really starting to think about keeping it and putting a blower on it.

If you like 928s for what they mean to you & not what they mean to collectors or car enthusiasts in general, then continue w/your pursuit.

In almost every case, a good car comes from either a trustworthy seller or someone who knows 928s. Combine the two and you've likely found a good car. Get it for a good price and you've likely found a great car.

And I didn't mean to come down on you for doing that - my message was supposed to be that 928 collectability and pricing is, to a very significant degree, defined by the people on this site. That being the case, if everyone here, after years of experience buying, owning, selling, and keeping a very close eye on the 928 market tells you that it ain't gonna happen, well, that's worth considering against your current opinion.

We would hate to see anyone get into these cars for the "investment potential" because recouping the cost of fixing and maintaining a 928 from the money you (think you're going to) make when you sell it is just not going to happen.
