Please tell me I'm not the only one
Man this was a bone head move, hope I am not the only one and if so, this should get a good chuckle.
I was under the car this morning trying to assess where my small trans leak was coming from, had the car on Porken's Lift Bars.
Finished up and lowered the car, then went to run some errands. Went to store one, all good..........went to store two and while checking out, looked out the window and noticed a lift bar on my passenger side was still attached!!! Whoops!
I about **** my pants and even worse wondered where might the drivers side lift bar be!!!
Turned out ok, kicked the passenger lift bar down and throw it in the hatch, and hoped the drivers side was in my garage and not in the middle of the road somewhere!
And there it was sitting in my garage...........
So please tell me I am not the only one to something like this!

You are lucky! That could have been disastrous if you hit a bump just right and broke it loose.

That's a good one.
I've lost track of the tools I've found when opening the hood. My favorite was a set of jumper cables. Yes, you read that right. On the engine of a big old Olds after jumping it on a dark night.

Yup, that's a first , however, also owning the Porken Lift Bars I know how sturdy they are which could translate into substantial kinetic energy once launched or run into. You are very lucky. Thank the Porsche gods everything turned out OK.

Dahamn! You must have a lot of underbody spray in order to stick like that. The bars weigh ~25lb/11kg each!

I'm afraid you're not the only one. In fact I have to get in touch with Ken and order a new one. Not sure where it ended up.
I'm not 100% sure it left the garage with the car, but I do keep them in the same place all the time and one is there and the other isn't so I imagine it must have been stuck to the car one day. One complication is that I don't have a back seat in my car so the rear seat belt bolts interfere with the rear lift bar location and actually cause it to get stuck in there.
I can't imagine I removed the jack stands and put them away without removing the lift bar, but I must have.

If you have not done something stupid working on cars you have not worked on enough of them, if you have had more than three try to kill you you may have worked on too many.
Yes, BTDT, but not with the lift bars.

Might be time to add some red flags to the lift bars kinda like they have on aircraft covers.
I could see how this can happen the rush to get behind the wheel to see if your latest improvements worked
