Official Sharks in Hell - Aug 6-8
Better late than never they say… well the Michigan crew is getting it together to host our 5th annual Sharks In Hell event: Event starts Friday evening Aug 6th and finishes up Sunday August 8th with the main event day being on Saturday the 7th. The event is held at Mark's cottage in Hell (4339 Patterson Lake Road, Pinckney Mi 48139).
I know I told some people some other dates. I'm sorry if this messes you up. Porshces to Oxford, OH is the previous weekend and we don't want to compete with that. I guess I had the dates flip flopped.
Traditionally, we hold the event on the same weekend as the Pinkney HelluvaCruise event which has turned out to be a blast, however it appears they have decided to cancel that event permanently, but that’s not stopping us and who knows what will show up on the roads in and out of HELL !
As in the past this is a family event. Please feel free to bring your spouse and kids. There is swimming, tubing, a paddle boat, fishing, etc. We will also have a bonfire on Friday and Saturday nights. Please keep the adult talk for when the kids aren't around.
We do make a reasonable attempt at a fun drive on Saturday, but let's face it, Michigan roads are mostly straight and flat (not to mention full of pot holes). Sorry. But the people are what make these events so much fun and these people are great!
This year : On Saturday morning we will be doing a 4-wheel Alignment, so come early if you want to watch & learn or just BS.
To recap...
When: starts Friday evening Aug 6th and finishes up Sunday August 8th- Main event day will be Satuday Aug. 7th starting around 10AM
Where: Hell, MI (4339 Patterson Lake Road, Pinckney MI 48169)
Accomodations: Limited spots on the floor in the cottage, but plenty of space for tents. There is a Best Western about 15 miles away (PM me if you want more info) - but most people preferr to stay at the cottage or in a tent. If you want to bring a 5th wheel, I'm sure we can accomodate.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT! - We just ask that you bring a dish to pass or some drinks to share!
Food/Drinks:
BYOB or what every other party mixes.
If you can swing a dish to pass great, if not give us a hand to cook/clean up.
Davek9 (op) is coordination a food/soft drink list if you plan to bring something.
We have beds, floor space, and plenty of room for tents.
Beds available:
2 sets of bunk beds (4 single beds total – Host gets one of them)
2 double beds (each in their own room … if your sig other is attending too).
I'll grab a spot on the living room floor with my sleeping bag.
Please PM "Sharks" (Mark H. - Our host) to reserve a bed.
Closest Hotel:
Best Western of Whitmore Lake (approx 15 miles away)
9897 Main Street US Whitmore Lake, Michigan, 48189
Phone: 734/449-2058
Water Activities:
We sold the row boat and purchase a very old 24’ Pontoon Party Boat.
Sea Doo Jet Boat for water skiing/tubing (only I drive this one).
2 Kayaks and 1 four person Paddle Boat.

Bummer, count us out.
For anyone else who has not been able to attend this event, it's a blast!!! Too bad our schedules will not allow it this year for us.

Thanks Andrew. The dates look good for me.
I'll be driving up with my daughter, dropping her off @ grandma's, picking up grandpa (my dad), and going straight to Hell. This will be my first!
