FS: 1987 S4, low miles, options
1987 928 S4, black ext, burgundy int
92k miles
5-speed
LSD (option 220)
sport suspension with koni reds and coilovers (option 474)
heated power seats with lumbar support
We don't really have any records on this car
recent timing belt and water pump
clean title
not original paint, but a professional job
no evidence of body damage
dash is cracked
color matched momo steering wheel
calipers were painted yellow then gold by a monkey... I cleaned and refinished the rears but left the fronts for the next owner to refinish as he/she wants
engine runs great
transmission shifts smoothly, good clutch
car is being sold with 17" twists, but will take offers on the 18" wheels pictured
Early '87 car, probably has the pistons oil squirters
Asking $11,900. I don't know 928s that well, I'm selling this car for my dad. It has nice options and low miles, and my dad doesn't really want to sell it but business is bad! The car is located in San Francisco.
Please PM for more details or to set up a viewing. I can put you in touch with my dad.

Nice color combo! 5 spd with LSD, nice drive line combo! Other S4 5spds with solid history and Rlister owned have sold for less. This one may need a lot of catch up service/maint.
I love those combos though. GLWTS

nice car some underhood shots would tell more 13K sounds right , the Bgundy interior looks very nice, so not a lot of sun damage

Do you have a full side view of that car? I was considering some wheels like these for my black S4 and that would show me what they would look like.
Good luck with the sale, that's a good price for a nice car.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments!
My dad is willing to negotiate...
The rear tires were 265 and were just replaced with 285 to get rid of that stretched look.
My dad bought it in fall of 2009. He had become a 911 guy but decided to give 928s one last try, and now he's ready to go back to 911s.

I would venture a guess that it will take less than $10k to move this 928....not as a negative statement against "this" 928...just how horrible the market is....

Oh, I see... I didn't know the market was that bad for 928s right now. I guess that explains the little interest we've had in it the last few months locally.
I talked to my dad (it's his car) and he said he could use some cash, so he will entertain offers...

It sure looks nice on the outside, and the good maintenance is a big plus.
The wheels are, of course, awesome.
Interior is down on the shabby side, though, with the dash cover and the torn seat. This keeps it off the top shelf of prices, I would say.
I just bought an 87 for less than 10K that is in better overall cosmetic condition, but it needs some maintenance to get up to good running order. Mind you, I bought it from my dentist, who has been trying to sell it to me for years, and we are in Fresno, where there is basically no local market at all for this type of car.
