Dan and James: Most of the dealers/re-sellers are removing the sensors in advance. Then they are trying to peddle the rims with the stock tires (WHICH DO NOT FIT) and get $1000-$1200 plus $200 shipping for it all. Let them get rid of the tires, save freight cost and a bunch of grief and aggravation trying to sell the tires yourself. Just buy the rims for $600-$800 and be done with it. Do a fleabay search under 18" panamera wheels" and something should come up and remember that ALL take-off wheel prices are negotiable!

James,
For an alternative - wider wheels (9 and 10"), take a look at my post on the original thread that Paul posted about these wheels.

Gary,

Just checked out your post again...I remember that now. That is a great idea and a great way to go! I bet those 255's up front REALLY give the 928 a nice bite in to the corner and those 295's are probably impossible to break lose w/o some extra HP over stock!

I know it's been said but most are removing them and putting them on the replacement wheels. I put mine on the HREs.

James,

Yes, the 255/35's up front really make the car handle much better. I had used that wheel/tire on my '89 track car, and liked it so well I put them on the GTS as well. I'm using Michelin PS2 tires all around, and there is no tramlining, etc. with the 9" et 70 front wheels/tires.

Anyone need a set of FM10's in 17" that are pretty decent?
As far as cleaning, years ago (2000-03) I had VW alloy rims that would get covered in brake dust and dirt. At someone's suggestion on a VW forum I put Kleen Wheels on. Made a HUGE difference. Normal detailing and it all worked well.

I wonder if it'd work on the Fiske's and others...and how they'd look.
