Flywheel Lock
I am starting my t-belt replacement and am to the point in the Pirtle instructions that I am supposed to place the flywheel lock where the clutch slave goes.
Thing is that the flywheel lock provided by DR ( Thanks) does not align with the flywheel teeth and line up to the mounting holes at the same time.
Any help?

Go ahead and move the crank slightly left or right as needed to engage the teeth. It will be a fraction of a tooth off one way or the other, so go for the smaller. As you get that lined up, note where the cam gear teeth are relative to the casting markers on the backing plates, and you'll see that the still line up just fine. Reality is that there are lots more ring gear teeth than crankshaft belt drive teeth, and the cams spin at half the speed of the crank. Makes the fraction of a ring-gear tooth not noticeable.
If/when you decide to use the Porken tool to dial in cam timing perfectly, you'll want to re-index the balancer based on actual piston position. Use that new mark for the cam timing if the factory mark isn't perfect. I've seen factory balancer marks off by as much as 3-4 degrees on 'murrikin cars. I hope the 928 is a bit better than that.

If you have a small piece of aluminium plate ( or steel) and a hacksaw, it is easy to make an adapter that shifts the splines 45 deg ......

Block the tires, and put it in 5th.
I've twice loosened the crank nut on my '85 by forgetting to remove a 2' breaker and socket while adjusting the valve timing. Twice I hit the starter (to equalize the belt tension) and heard that resounding thud of the breaker hitting the frame.
Both times I put it in 5th, and used my 3/4 torque wrench to tighten 'er back up.
