Default Why is there an elongated "C" on the cap of the MN Twins?

I see a recessed and elongated "C" in red script on the caps of the MN Twins players. I can't figure out what it stands for?

Hey, this is supposed to go to OT. I was in the wrong spot when I posted.

Sooooorrryyyyyy

Uh, the name of the team is the "Twins". Not the 'twin cities'. But, I guess that must be it.

Even more stupid than I first thought.

Dood! It's kinda like the New York Yankees have "NY" on their caps, not just a "Y." And the Los Angeles Dodgers have "LA" on their caps, not "D." And the San Francisco Giants have "SF" on their caps, not "G." I could go on...
