Default check your small coolant lines

FYI everyone should check the small coolant lines coming from reservoir, back of the water bridge and leading to the top of the radiator. I had mine blow out a couple weeks ago right behind the water bridge and just this afternoon got around to replacing them. They were badly dry rotted, especially the one leading to the tank. After I finally got that one off, it literally came apart in my hands. I'm sure it's the original hose from 27 years ago and it took some time to get the old crust off the tee fitting. Check 'em out!

I replaced mine a month or so ago, even though they turned out to be in pretty good shape. Really tight space to work in, and was a PITA to re-run the line. Worth it for the piece of mind though.

You're tellin me. I never thought replacing one hose would be that tough, and my back is killing me. I ended up loosening the washer bottle to get enough room to get at the hose clamp on the rank. I retrospect I should have only loosened the nuts instead of taking them off since they were a real bitch to get back on - combination of a magnet and sprained fingers.
