The brake MC was already out when I got my 1979 928 home. I am preparing to put it back togather and have two questions (so far).
1. There is a sealing ring, PN 251611243, called for in the WSM and mentioned in several posts. What type of seal is this? Is it common or something I need to order?
2. Anyway to test the MC before insatlling? PO stated that brake swere good but not operational because the clutch flex line had blown and drained the fluid system.
Thanks!

Any idea where this ring goes? Between the cyl and the booster casing, the seals for the reservoir?? Reservoir seals (grommets) are ATE, any Benz/BMW etc dealer should be able to supply against a sample...BTDT
Dont know of a way for an amateur to test a m/cyl...if new ones are obtainable and economic, would put one on if it was me...

It is a seal that goes between the MC and the booster.
About $4 - probably in stock but to late in the evening to go look.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

So sounds like a rather custom type of o ring. Best solution sounds like calling Roger Tuesday! I need a new blue hose, fuel lines etc anyway.
Thanks
