Default No Love, from either Window!

Went for a ride today 84MY, windows went down at the start of the ride, but would not roll back up at the end, driver and passenger. Fuse looks good, but swapped it with new one anyway, still no love.

I pulled the window winder relay, looks clean, but when I apply 12v to it I hear no click.

Would this relay if failed cause both windows to be in-op?
Also, should this relay click when 12v is applied?
This is relay #928.615.116.00.

Thanks for the help!!

Shawn

Try jumping 12 volts to the relay jack to drive up your windows.

Just thought of that, do you know what pins? Is it 85/86?

Not sure, but you can look at the schematic on the side of the relay (if legible) and figure out the power output to the motors.

Is there another relay on your board with the same part number? If so, use it to drive them up.

Nope, no other with that part #.
I think 85/86 is the proper spades to jump, hope to get confirmation from a been there guy!

happened to me last week, try your ignition switch. I gave mine a very slight turn counter clockwise and everything worked fine......looks like a new switch in near future for me.

Did that dead spot in your switch affect anything else?

I am kind of leaning towards the Relay in that I pulled it, put 12v and ground to spade 85/86 on the relay and heard no click.

Relay is where I would start. Both windows out at same time is a relay or fuse issue typically, and you already checked the fuse. Not likely an ignition switch issue, as other systems would be affected.

with mine it was both windows and the sunroof that weren't functioning, and the "stoplight" warning was on.....didn't really see anything else
