Default transmission line replacement questions

Folks; in the process of replacing the transmission lines, I (so far) have two questions. Please refer to the pictures.

1) When I disconnected the transmission line from the passenger side of the transmission, the little ball bearing (part 15) fell out of he assembly (parts 14 + 16). Do I just plop the little ball bearing back in on reassembly, or is there finesse to it?

2) The rubber plug just fore of the transmission bell housing was oily.., does this suggest a transmission seal leak above it? No spots on the floor...I'm just curious before I button things back up.

Thanks....

The ball just drops back into #16. As far as the plug, I doubt the oil would be from a Torque Converter seal leak as those tend to drop out through the grating of the TC housing. Pull the plug and see if there is any oil inside the torque tube. If the inside of the TT is dry, the oil is probably from a leak somewhere else on the underside and is being blown back onto the plug.
