I'm just visiting from the 993 board but I have to jump in and say that this is a beautiful car. When I have more garage space at some point, I'd love to add a 928 to my life.

I have always loved a 928!

Fred, what are the front offsets...any idea?
JPTL, offset in front is 49 on 8" wide 18" wheels, they look great on the car and I had Garage 9 make the custom center caps. I put in Roger's Delrin rack bushings and I had it aligned with 0 toe so I get no tramlining.

THe car looks clean and tight for sure, but...

Anyone considering this car should know there are some title "issues". Looks like some kind of accident early on in it's life. Probably had a salvage title issued, then a new title. That alone may affect value by more than $5k, IMO.

Thanks Jarrod, your car is my inspiration.

Yes, it's true, 18 years ago the GT was hit along the passenger side. The front fender and passenger door have different VIN #s on them. The passenger rear quarter panel was also worked on. Obviously a potential issue for some. The GT was up on a lift at the Denver 2006 OCIC tech session with everyone pouring over it and there's no damage. It won 'Best of Street' and the "People's Choice' award at the OCIC that year as well as taking first place for water cooled Porsches at the 2006 Gmund West.

Shady past from 18 years ago? Maybe...but all that's negotiable...

I found out about the title issue and accident damage after i started this post then i went to look at the car, I couldnt find any indicators that there was damage, and if repairs were made there wasnt any evidence to see.
I also asked Fred about the title and he said he has a clear title for the car.
So paperwork issues aside, this is still an excellent condition 89 928 GT

I forget the exact verbage, but CarFax lists that a new title was issued.

So while the title is "clear" today, it has history which in my book makes it less valuable - regardless of present condition. But that's only my opinion...

Andrew, I actually agree with your opinion that the past hurts it's present value. My personal feeling is that someone can get a very exceptional, well sorted GT for a very good price - I'd love to talk with anyone who may be seriously interested.

Fred
Stunning example.........................I wish I was in position to make you an offer...but alas I am not...

It makes me miss my street 928 all the more...since it was a 88S4 auto twin of your machine.....
