I hope this forum members can shed some light on this mystery ski attachment that came with my second-hand 996/997 roof rack. The rack came with two sets of boxed ski attachments that do not appear to be 'native' to this 996 rack. There're two part numbers on the box, PN 000.044.000.04 is on top and under the label there's another PN 928.801.061.03 'Skihalteraufesatz". I can't find any references to this ski rack anywhere. Does anyone have this ski attachment on their 928?

I have a 928 Rack without the Ski attachments but I can't see how these parts would attach to a 928 rack

I'll look at the rack later and see if there are some more clues - Perhaps the rubber protetctive cover on the main rack bars comes off and the ski holder fiitting s clip into a groove in the top of the bar ?

mmm interested in the ski racks to add to my collection of racks [i have two sets]
Price/ or pm if you wish
I use the Thule bike rack, just added a washer to get better hold in the groove and then made a spacer on the top to give a flat surface for the bike attachment, otherwise it rocks from side to side too much.
