On my iPhone so can't post a link but if you search YouTube for "cars and coffee July 2010" (the month is wrong) you'll find a video of cars leaving today. About 6:20 into the video, there's a red 928 pullng out fast and a cop pulls out right behind and it looks like they got pulled over. Herman? There's 2 other 928s and one looks like Chuck.

Looks like a fun time, may have to drive up and check it out soon.

I can't say enough thanks to the DFW crew that helped me at Brad's work on my car. The new motor mounts and suspension are amazing. The shocks and springs make it feel like a new car. Roger, Sean, Brad, Doc, everyone. . .. thank you so much. I thoroughly enjoyed my time I got to spend with you guys. Glad you liked the Iowa Beef and Pork. We got lots of it up here and I'll try to find a way to ship some down to you.

We got two sets of the Volvo mounts installed on cars where the existing mounts were totally compressed. The new Volvo mounts are slightly taller than the old Ford mounts by a few MM. I think this gives the car a nice set up for engine height. The new Volvo mounts also seem to be a bit firmer rubber, so I suspect, but don't know that they will last longer than the other stuff out there.

The go in easy, but the bottom flange hook is a bit harder to align. Once in they feel real tight in there. I like it. After the wrenching we had a good swim, told a few lies, and had some good vittles. All in all, another great GTG for N TX. I got some interest on my 86 at car & coffee to, so that's all good.

Very good time, as usual.

Between wrenching on the cars, eating some great food and blowing stuff up, it was a fantastic time.

Tech wise we got two sets of motor mounts done, two sets of rack bushings, a set of shocks/springs.....I know I'm forgetting something, but man, busy fun day.

Jeff, pleasure to meet you and thank you for the food, was some great stuff.

Not to mention, I arranged for a military fly by. We had a Huey helicopter fly by about ten feet above the tree tops and five A-10 warthogs in formation.

Special thanks to Joanne and Brad for hosting another great DFW GTG and wrenching session.

15 miniutes to extract the MM's is amazing and a total of circa 2 hours for the complete job start to finish.

A great time was had by all.

Big thanks to Brad and JoAnne for the use of their shop, as well as thanks to Brad, Doc, Mike, Sean, Jeff, Curry, Bill, Mike, and anyone else I failed to mention who worked on my car. The new Delrin rack bushings made a noticeable improvement in steering tightness and transitory response. Very pleased with the results.

Also thanks to Sean and Brad for allowing this inexperienced firearm noob to fire a few rounds with their respective weapons. I noticed a crowd gathered for my Benelli 12 gauge shoot with baited expectation - I think they fully expected me to fall backwards from the recoil, something that I thankfully did not deliver. My ears are still ringing though.

Oh, and the Huey flyover was awesome.

In summary - wrenchin', shootin', and flyovers all in one day. Good times! Thanks again everyone.

You guys are so fortunate to have such a supportive 928 community in Texas!!!! I sure wished my job situation had worked out so I could of been a part of it...maybe next time.

Brad...I don't even know why you have a house. With a shop like yours I'd just add a bed somewhere and be done with it. Super nice!!!

Thanks for letting this old 911 join in the fun. That was my first Cars and Coffee-some fine cars! Brad and JoAnne thanks for your hospitality. Your property is awesome. Went home and started my home improvement list. Naturally I started in the garage! Hope to see you guys next month. Thanks again.

Well, I can tell everyone that I had a great time. Jeff, it was great to meet you. I'm glad we got everything done you wanted done on your car. BillTool, sorry I couldn't stay to get yours done, but it sounds like your MM and rack bushings got done. I wish we could've done Blackshark's tranny valve problem, but only so much time available after lunch. Thanks to everyone who showed up. It was great to see all of you.
