I saw these on a new VW recently - seems like another wild idea inspired by the original phone dials. They were quite eye catching - but... I still don't like them... not very subtle

I really like the 'trash can lid' wheels on my '86; but I'd like them more if they were wider, polished, and had more tire options. So I'd have to go with that, at maybe a 18 or 19 inch version. But that's never going to happen. The BBS 'fake' lace gold centers were nice, too (always thought they looked like the old Jim Hall Chaparrel wheels).

Don't want to jack the thread, but for the guys that asked about the 2-piece D90's here's a little mroe for ya.
I have two sets of these wheels. The first set are 16x9 and are a 2-piece construction. The second set are 17x9 and 17x10, also 2-piece construction.
I got the 16's off of a guy on the East coast that got them from a Porsche Tuner that was going out of business and had them just sitting on a shelf. The second set I tracked down in Australia. I've been trying to get as much info on them as I can over the last few years and I've only been able to find two other sets. One in England and one in Canada on a 944.
Here's a few pics of the 17's:
And the 16's, sorry, only have this one right now:
