Are these the same covers that 928 Motorsports sells?

Also it seems the stock one has foam to prevent rattles. Has anyone noticed any sqeaks or rattles with the ABS cover?

Jeremy, mine has arrived in Australia and is fitted; great product, perfect fit and super strong.

Just amazing how flimsy the original porsche unit was next to the high quality product you have produced !

Thanks

One question: triyng to keep the car as original as possible what is the best way to remove the sticker from the old cover and still can use it on the new cover? Hair drier maybe?
Thanks for your opinions.

At least one person has removed the tag and put it on one of my covers. Look back in this thread and you wil lfind a picturte of it, I think. I haven't done it myself, but I think a hair dryer or lite use of a heat gun should loosen the glue just enough.

I got back today from 3rd Coast with one cover left from the small number I took with me. I am going to ship it to the UK in the morning. I have a couple of pieces of material cut and drilled for forming again and will try tomorrow or later this week to buy another sheet of material for some more. Let me know if you need one shipped and I will try to get right on it. Thanks for all the great feedback on these covers, They are something I am happy to do to try to fill the need. Jerry Feather

My original cover was still with the car, but all my efforts to revive it just made matters worse. So, as much as I care to be a stickler about originality, I had no option but to buy one of Jerry's covers.

Couple of things here: 1) I'm thinking to myself that $75 is a bit much for piece of thin formed plastic, 2) it is going to look out of place and clearly aftermarket.

Well, Jerry sent it on Monday, and it's in my car today on Wednesday. JWillman above had his hand delivered? Mine might have well have been...it got here in a flash.

Thin piece of formed plastic? Think again! This is a substantial, yet flexible, formed piece that so exceeds the OEM piece that it is almost unfathomable that Porsche would put this in the car. It is concave enough to perfectly cover the collapsible spare and pump kit. It's grained on the visible side giving it a very nice texture. I used a heat gun on low setting and a metal spackle knife to slowly remove the foil sticker and then used some 3M #77 spray glue to mount it Jerry's cover.

Does it look OEM? Actually, better. It's the best $75 I've spent thus far on the 928 revival project.

WOW, Bob. That is a great report. I have heard a lot of very favorable feedback from many guys about this product, but your tops them, I think. These Covers are all made individually by me by hand and yet all have a very nearly exact duplication of each other. I saw an original one that was said to be NOS a while back on eBay, and I think it was listed at over $500. It takes me nearly an hour to make one of these and the material is about $15, so I don't think my price is out of line. I am now charging $20 for flat rate S&H since the Postal Rates went up in January. I have also set the price of these at $75 to match the price of the Cowl Covers so that I don't get confused so easily.
