I posdted one of these covers to Switerland this morning by Priority Mail and will hope that it gets there by about Friday or next Monday at the latest.
I still have a few of these formed in black and all of them that I formed in white. I have four formed white ones and enough material to make two more white ones. I am surprised that no one wants one of these in white; but I gress I can put them in my cars. On the other hand, If anyone is interested I will reduce the price for the white to the same as the black = $65.
I have the availability of suffiecint material to make these in black (or white) for the foreseeable future, so please keep that in mind as this thread trails off into the darkness.

No Problem, Tom. I probably need to post something about that project somewhere, and here is as good as elsewhere, for now. I'll probably start another thread about that in the near future, but only when I get some actual forming going.
Murphy's law, seventh correlary, states the "when setting out to do something, something else must be done first!" I seem to have been held up by that proposition.
Where I have gotten with the fender liner project is to have the blow-oven mostly built, save for some detail work which I can do in place, then I have to take the oven off of my welding table and finish up the welding inside and complete the electrical circuitry. What has held me up, however, is that at this point the thing weight about 250 to 300 pounds, I think, and I will need help getting it off my wellding table and turned right side up. The other problem is that I have limited space to put it right side up to work on it, so, I decided that I should put some of my accumulation of stuff up on shelves and out of my way.
That creates another project that I have been working on off and on with some of this other stuff. I had a batch of 2 inch by 1/2 inch bay about an eighth inch thick channel iron that I have cut into a hundred and twenty-eight pieces that I am welding into shelve brackets to put all around the walls up near the ceiling where I can store a lot of the stull that is now in my way. I will end up with about 120 feet of shelving that is 15 inches wide and can go a long way to relieve my grid lock. Then I can make some more progress on the liners. I have most of the bracket welded, all but about 6 I think. I hope to be finishing them up soon and then will have to paint them. I bought the primer that I will need because they are a little rusty in places, and will paint them as I cut and install the shelving. The shelving itself will be cut 16 inches wide out of 3/4 inch plywood, and I can put it up as I get stuff packed for storage up there and put away.
Don't give up hope, but I have a difficult time working against any kind of deadline. Thanks for your continued interest.

Thanks Chris, for the arrival report. I'm sure you can get a lot of advise about the "spousal unit," but it will probably all be bad. Hang in there. Jerry

I am bumping this thread in case there is anyone new to the list that is in need of a nice spare tire cover that I am making. I have several formed and ready to go, most of them in white, but a few in black and I have some material to for some more, when needed.
PM me with your needs and information. Again, they are $65 each plus $16.50 S&H. Thanks

I got one of these from Jerry, and the fit and finish is excellent - far superior to the stock solution. I highly recommend this part. On a sidenote, I also have the hatch insert, which has been holding up great too.

I received my two covers from Jerry some time ago - also filtered by the spousal unit.
I confess that I have no idea why she has a problem with me buying car parts - I don't drink or smoke and, unlike her brother, I'm not spending time and money on hookers and blow. Sheesh!
Still, I guess I'll have to spend MORE money on car parts, because these covers look great and installed so perfectly and easily that I didn't get enough "car time" to still the itch.
What else do you have Jerry?
