Default tbelt warning wiring?

With the Porkensioner installed and the grd widget correctly fitted and grounded I still have the warning for tbelt.

There's a single wire from the centre tbelt cover into the front harness..............anyone know how this wire connects to the warning light? direct?

Where do you have it grounded? I was using the dipstick as the ground point, but have since found out that it's not the best spot.

Malcolm - Funny you should ask, I just hooked mine up today and I'm wondering the same thing. I haven't started it yet so I don't know what the end result will be, but it looks like his wire is simply grounding out the female connector/wire from the harness that goes to the front of the cover to the wire he provides that goes to the large bolt on the lower left-hand side of the center TB cover. Which is what Tony shows in his diagram at:
http://members.rennlist.com/v1uhoh/timing.htm (meaning if the circuit's grounded, no light...)

Bruce................your correct. With the Porkensioner you have to defeat the warning system and its done by grounding the wire that connects through the centre timing belt cover.

Sean............I use the dipstick tube mounting bolt as the location for the 'widget' per Kens direction and then ground that location to the 13mm centre tbelt cover bolt with the wire supplied in the PKensioner kit. Using a dmm I've confirmed the widget is grounded..............I'm now thinking the ground is not reaching the warning light system.

It connects via the W connector on the CE panel.
Pin is W25.

You can confirm ground there, and if it has ground there, then it is a problem with the warning computer

It shows as grounded all the time until it gets on the road. The ground travels down the dip stick to the block. For some reason the connection is not always good and it sets the warning off. I've since grounded them in other spots and have yet to get a phone call saying the TB warning has gone off again.
