Default Two vacuum ports on rear of throttle body 85-86

I am reassembling my intake and I want to make sure I get these two installed correctly. These two ports connect to the 7 way splitter and the control valve for the charcoal canister. One port is raised above the other one and the lower one appears to be covered by the throttle plate at idle.

The vacuum diagram under the hood (from what I can tell) has the lower one connected to the charcoal canister and the upper one connected to the 7 way. can anyone confirm this? This makes sense as the upper one looks like it receives manifold vacuum all the time where the lower one has the vacuum restricted at idle. I want to make sure it is correct before I put it back together.

From what I recall the one on the left (drivers side) connects to the 7 way.

What symptoms might someone experience with these reversed?

I'm also in the middle of an Intake refresh. I'll take a look tonight and let you know what I find, assuming of course, that mine is correct!

The higher/larger barb goes to the 7-way.

Thanks Ken that is what I thought. I think I had it backwards before!

Maybe that was the cause of my shifting problems??3

I see you have the lower one capped that goes to the charcoal canister. How are you purging it?

For starters your FPR will be wide open at idle.

Carbon cannister?

You mean the vent line behind the rear bumper?
