from your pic, aftermarket red splices --> should be green/low (+) out of the bass blocker, with brown/low (-); yellow/high (+), with brown/high (-)

can't tell the other aftermarket red splices in the lower right of pic that seem to splice into the wiring?

If in doubt, connect the crossover output to the woofer and see whether you hear only low sounds or only high sounds. Since the woofer will not be damaged by being connected to the wrong output of the crossover, this is a safe way to test the crossover and determine which output is which.

Now, one bit of added confusion: this is a 12dB/octave crossover, which means it's 2nd order. Even order crossovers invert phase in the passband. So, the tweeter will need to have its negative terminal connected to the output of the crossover, and its positive terminal connected to the negative drive from the amp. The woofer will be connected with its negative terminal to the negative drive of the amp, and its positive terminal connected to the output of the crossover. This is so signals at the crossover frequency will be in-phase when reproduced by the two drivers, and not cancel each other out.

Can't you just use pliers to tighten the fit of the outer collar on the RCA cable? If that's what you mean by "crimping" then don't be shy!

Or am I missing something.
