As you can see in the picture the bumper went up and into the headlight, the fender went into her tire.

Colin so sorry to hear the news, I know you worked hard to get that car perfect.
Glad that you and your GF can walk away from the remains, a new project will soon appear, Stan

Or maybe this will give me the motivation (and funds) to finish up the twin turbo project....

WOW, It must have been just after we saw each other. I wonder if the RBC across the street has a street camera?

Ugh! Bad day for accidents. Sorry to hear about your loss and hope your girlfriend recovers quickly.

I too was in an accident today. Was hit hard from behind. Snapped my neck like a bobble doll. Happened around 12:30. Just got home about an hour ago. Spent almost 8 hours at the hospital getting checked out, x-rays/CT Scan, etc. Taking meds and wearing a neck brace. Ugh!

Sorry about the hijack but strange two Shark owners in an accident on the same day.

Please post more pics when you can and just because you don't feel any pain now does not mean you wont over the next few days. Me? I'm really sore and have lots of tension in my neck and back.

Good luck and best wishes for a good outcome.

Not often I would disagree with JDS, but in this case I will. From personal experience neck injuries can take days, weeks, months, and in some cases years for the long term effects to be known especially if you had your head "not straight" at the moment of impact causing torsional stress on the spine.

Settle as fast as is good for you for the damage to the 928, try and resist at all costs an all in one settlement that ties personal injury compensation with the damage to the 928. (you can "force" the other party's insurers to settle quickly on the 928 by hitting them with the hire car costs).

Delay as long as you can on any personal injury settlement until you and your medics are sure (try and get the insurance co. to get the medics to sign off on this) there is no long term damage.

Glad that there are no immediate injuries to you both.

I am glad every one is ok, cars can be repaired or replaced, people can not be.

Sucks for both of you guys.

Colin,
Glad to hear you and your GF are ok, my wife still has issues from out accident 25 years ago. Really stinks about the car but it sounds like you have a plan.

Dan,
I hope you will be ok.

Cheers

More important is that you and the GF were safe and fine.

Hopefully you will be able to find another or get this one repaired.

Hope your g/f is okay and recovers fast and completely. Glad to hear you are okay.
