GT Unable To Idle And Very Rough Running
Guys
My GT has been sat for the past 6 months, so today i put in fresh fuel and tried to start the car, it runs but not how it should
Car misfires badly
Will not rev over 1k
Running on less than 4 cylinders, i have relay protection overide relay fitted
Over fueling massively
Car ran fine before being layed up
I guess i should check following first
Plugs, dizzy caps, leads, coils, injector conectors, all sensor conectors
Have i missed anything

make sure that there is no fuel leaking out of the dampers and FPR.
Though it does sound like it is in a limp mode of sorts.
Check the wiring to the MAF.

Check coils and wires to make sure contacts are good. Pull plugs to see which ones are firing. Also, if the battery was disconnected, it may take a few starts and some run time to get the brain back to normal.
I had similar when I was switching brains back and forth between my track car and my GT....seems the track car liked parameters that were much different than the GT was used to. After idleing for a few minutes and restarting it went back to normal.

I shall check those
From what i can remember last time i fitted a battery on the car and it ran, the rev's went up and down for awhile then it all settled down, this time its b b b b b b b b b lots of blue black smoke throttle pedal wide open and 1k lift off it dies.
Maybe something eaten through some wires

Slam the throttle pedal to the floor, start it and hold it there. Should clear right up.

Had a similiar problem after Intake R&R, traced issued back to king lead not being properly seated, it looked ok, but I'd pulled the lead to clean it and only placed it back on the distributor before getting distracted. Car would start fine, then move to a rough idle after a few mins. Application of throttle made the running worse, revs wouldn't rise much above 1500 and it would die as soon as throttle was released. All during post refresh checks on the drive.
Didn't get excessive smoke though, how much extra fuel does the SC need over and above NA at just over idle speeds?

Did you disconnect the battery? I'm sure that the car loses it's optimum fuel settings etc when power is lost for an extended period. When i fitted my supercharger it took 30 or so minutes of lumpy idle before everything settled down. Got better the more i used it. I could however have just made the first bit up as its been a while.......
