Asked the guy who did my S4.
Check terminals on plugs to ECU/EZK for corrosion or bent pins.
TDC sensor or RPM sensor wires dislodged?

No, that was the input signal to the EZK. The EZK has three outputs, one to each coil driver output stage (up near the hood latch) and the other is a 12v square wave that wakes up the LH and also drives the tach.

Have you swapped the EZK relay for a known good one ?

Check the ground for those ignition output stages, at the front.

Guys

I've been on the car today and this is what I have found

Checked EZK relay and power to relay 12.29v

Check power and LH relay 12.29v

Replace both relays with good working ones, no start

Check continuity from final stages and earth all ok and check earth point

Check continuity from EZK to final stages all ok

Check sine wave for final stages correct pattern shown

Check for continuity from EZK pin 13 to LH pin 1 no continuity, so is this my problem as to no start and no tach movement

Can I test by joining a wire from 13 to 1?

Make sure there isn't a short to ground from either end. Double check you haven't fitted a relay in the kick down relay slot.

Double check you had the correct pins on each connector....

This is worth checking - I had two relays swapped into each other's positions, and it was only when I took a very close look at the very tiny caret marks printed on the CE panel that I realized a simple mistake had been made by the PO.

Good luck!

Can someone confirm the wire colour for pin 13 EZK and pin 1 LH, MY90GT

The wiring diagrams i have show that 13 and 1 are linked with nothing in the middle is this correct ?

Stefan

Thanks for those

Looking at the diagrams does it mean at the bottom of each plug on the 90MY the wiring came in on other side of plug but pins stayed same number ?

Yes..... and even if that wire to pin 1 LH was open circuit, you sould still have a spark......
