I snooped around a little and didn't find any poly MM, but these seem popular with the off road truck guys, no clue if they are the same as Anchor or not.

Let me guess, at best they are willing to send you replacement bad mounts for your bad mounts.

After there initial reaction to the problem - "not their problem" - I have no confidence in ordering from them or Anchor as they all come from the same manufacturer or so I am told.
As the MM would collapse in an F350 just as easy as a Porsche 928 you would think they would have some level of interest.

For any folks around N TX, or elsewhere that want help with a MM job, I will be available at no charge with a days notice to help swap any failed MM bought from 928sRUS.

The car will need to come to Roger's shop, I need at least one day notice, and while I can do the bulk of the work, I will need some help for a few 2 man parts. This is offered for anyone that bought MM from Roger and are now facing a collapsed unit from new. If you want to proactively R&R a mount that is not collapsed, we can work something out.

PM me if interested.

This isn't Rodger's fault, or Rodger's problem. Rodger is stuck in the middle, but everyone buying these knew they were cheap parts made for Ford pickups, and that the first batch of Anchors had some issues. Its a PITA for those who didn't notice the MM collapsed as soon as the engine weight was on it, and now have a few hours work needed to replace them, but I don't see a good reason not to put cheap F150 MMs back in once new ones have been checked.

If a better brand can be found great, if not, these still seem like the best option.

Looking around I also found some branded Westerly, but could be same as Anchor.

Is DEA the same as Anchor/Cortco?

For what, $1000 each. Never get off the ground and it's just plain wrong.

There is no reason to sue. No one got hurt, we have to spend a little money and time is all.

That's the problem with this country. One little thing goes wrong SUE!!!!

I will not participate in any lawsuit. I was using a part that was suspect, I knew it and it went to crap.

Fix them and move on.

Seems like a good enough excuse to give Prothane or Energy a call and have them make one of their universal mounts work for us. I would love to have a set of life-time mounts in something a little more forgiving than aluminum.

Roger:

Since I'm perhaps the only "holdout" and use only Porsche mounts, in all my customer cars, I might not know what the hell I'm talking about....

Can't you buy new Ford mounts from Ford and avoid the entire "aftermarket" problem?

Greg, Mike and everyone,
I absolutly hate this and the fact that I can't do much about it makes it even worse.

Good idea on the Ford supply possibilty, however if my memory serves me correctly both Corteco and Anchor are the suppliers to Ford. We may end up getting the same thing.

I have found some MM's for Volvo that might work. They are hydraulic but if they do not leak they could be an option.

I might start drinking again this weekend 8>(

Here is some info I just learnt.
DEA is the manufacturer based in India and they bought the Corteco line of Engine Mounts from Freudenburg recently.
