Default Cowl Trim Piece Removal

Does anybody know if the cowl trim piece (sits below the windshield and holds the windshield wipers) can be removed on the 928 or is this something attached to the body by welding? I would like to have it repainted.

This is listed as part no. 928 559 117 02 on PET.

Remove the wiper arms, two aft fender bolts and two small phillips screws to the out side of the cowl trim.

Be careful with the two outside screws, they are going through Timmerman nuts and it is easy to bend them.

There is also a rubber part that just pulls off of the trim piece, but about half the S4's I see do not have that.

Good luck.

Simple.
