The first problem, the driver's side cooling fan inop. Turns out that after all the troubleshooting and side issues I ran into the fan amplifier mounted out by the radiator was indeed defective.

it probably went bad due to the shorted wire harness that you found, glad things are working as they should and that you also fixed the wire hazard as it could have easily went crispy critter on you.

Glad you guys went through this, my car has started the same thing.

Now to find an amp.

We never got around to looking at Chucks, actually have not seen his car in months.
