Default vacuum testing

Just bought a mity vac so please bear with me. I am trying to figure out why I still have heat coming into the car (i replaced the heater valve and hose but I still have problem). Two questions ... Do I need to ave the car running when I am testing vacuum? Do I need to use any of the fancy connections that came with the mity vac to test the vacuum?

thank

1st Question.
Do you have heat coming into cabin after you have stopped for a period or is heat always coming into car when you are driving and the slider is set to auto cool with a selector set at the desired temperature?

You test for vacuum leaks with the engine stopped.

For a procedure go to Wally's Tips on 928 Specalists web site at www.928gt.com.
