Left high beam not functioning

This morning, I performed a more thorrow check, especially for Allan. Maybe I use wrong terms, or maybe non-American names...
Facts:
- pop-up headlights do function in both low and high beam setting (I had this stated wrong in previous messages)
- Fog lights function normal
- driving lights function normal (lights are in the same unit as the foglights)
- The auxillary high beam lights in the bumper (so NOT the pop-up headlights) only function half.
- I checked the fuses; they seem okay
- I checked the light bulb; it is okay
- I did not check the ground for this light (where is it?)
Questions:
- What is the correct name for the light units in the bumper next to the fog/driving lights?
- What are they for anyway? Only for flashlights when the pop-ups are down?
- Do these lights always light up when the pop-ups are on and in high beam setting?
- Where would the ground connection for this light be?
- What possible problems could cause this sympton?

- pop-up headlights do function in both low and high beam setting (I had this stated wrong in previous messages) >>GOOD
- Fog lights function normal >>GOOD
- driving lights function normal (lights are in the same unit as the foglights)
- The auxillary high beam lights in the bumper (so NOT the pop-up headlights) only function half.
>> Still don't understand. You write it as if there are 3 lights - stock there are only 2 lights in the bumper - Foglights (outside position for you - ROW) and Aux HIgh beams/Driving lights (inside position for you - ROW).
The (correctly named) "Aux High Beams" are sometimes called "Driving Lights" ... its the same single light fixture
- I checked the fuses; they seem okay <<GOOD
- I checked the light bulb; it is okay <<GOOD
- I did not check the ground for this light (where is it?) << Same Gnd point as Fogs - varies a little by year - should be in front of radiator on drivers side - front clip near ignition final stages.
Questions:
- What is the correct name for the light units in the bumper next to the fog/driving lights? << Auxilliary High Beams
- What are they for anyway? Only for flashlights when the pop-ups are down? <<YES they flash then (But not only then)
- Do these lights always light up when the pop-ups are on and in high beam setting? <<YES
- Where would the ground connection for this light be? <<Single Gnd wire (in) for both Fogs and Aux - however internally to the fixture the reflectors plug to ground seperately
- What possible problems could cause this sympton? <<Bulb filament, broken supply wire, poor ground wire/connection. NOT: Fuse, switch
