antiseize on the metal fuel lines before reassembly?

There is a "silver antiseize" looks like Fastenal carries it, they can also get nickel antiseize.
Mine isn't open today and they don't show it in stock.
I used aluminum but I'm not sure if it was a good idea. I'm worried about corrosion between the aluminum antiseize and the threads.
Thanks

Oh dear - I may be in trouble. I had so much difficulty getting these off, that I assumed I had to ratchet them back down pretty good. I put them on quite snug. We'll see tomorrow when I power back up.

Ed,
I'm guessing that as long as you were counterholding, it will only be a problem if when you have to remove them.
That said, I would jumper the fuel pump and look for leaks before introducing spark to the equation.

That's the plan. I'll push the car into the driveway too (out of the garage).

FWIW I've used Permatex No.3 non setting aviation gasket sealer on the threads primarily because it doesn't set and because it keeps the air and moisture out - thus rpeventing corrosion. It's also resistant to fuel but that is a moot point as it should never see fuel anyway.

Jason,
Called Napa and Carquest, they have aluminum but not silver.
I'm want these to come off easier next time. I think I may have also put them on too tight and will recheck them. Just torqued them to 22 ft lbs

Glenn--
The aluminum-based product will do just fine for this service. It's a steel-on-steel threaded connection. The 'silver' referral was to the color, not the material.

Correct - the silver antiseize I referred to and used is the regular auto parts store aluminum stuff.

I put anti seize on all of the threaded couplings, this will make it easier to remove them in 20 years.
NO teflon tape.
I also use the PTFE pipe sealant on the check valve into the pump, if i am replacing it as well as all new sealing washers. Its also a good idea to buy a new hard line so to have standing by. they are usually deformed due to used sealing washers being used then the pump connections are over tightened then this deforms the pipe fittings result a leaking connection

Hey! I wanna say "use-the-plain-Permatex-hangin-in-the-blisterpack-at-yer-neighborhood-store" too!
Guess I did. I don't put it on the front few threads so none oozes out into the fuel line.
After ya struggle with them ya wanna do something for next time. And there will be a next time. (lol)

Thanks for all the inputs. I didn't want to take apart the fuel rail connections and clean the antiseize off!
May be starting the car back up today if I get my but out into the garage to finish up!
